As of October 15, the China-Laos Railway has transported a total of 600,000 cross-border international passengers from 115 countries and regions, including 204,000 this year alone—a significant year-on-year increase.

　　Since the launch of international passenger services on April 13, 2023, the China-Laos Railway has continuously enhanced travel convenience for people of both countries. Covering a distance of more than 1,000 kilometers between Kunming in Yunnan province and Vientiane in Laos, the high-speed train takes only 9 hours and 30 minutes. The growing passenger flow has greatly boosted tourism-related industries such as scenic attractions, hotels and catering along the route, accelerating the flow of people, goods and information, and injecting strong momentum into regional economic development.
