On September 27, at the national border of Suifenhe in Heilongjiang, the final track joint was connected, marking the completion of the Harbin-Suifenhe Railway upgrading project from Suifenhe to the border section, part of the "Eastern Corridor" of the CRE train. Trains passing through the Suifenhe Railway Port will now operate on the new line, with the maximum speed increased from 55 kilometers to 120 kilometers per hour, doubling the line's capacity.

　　Located at the heart of the Northeast Asian economic circle, Suifenhe is an important port on the "Eastern Corridor" of the CRE train. The Harbin-Suifenhe Railway starts in Harbin and ends in Suifenhe, a border city between China and Russia. To further enhance the port's transport capacity, CR-Harbin launched the upgrading project for the Suifenhe-border section of the line in May 2024. The 4,146-meter project includes one tunnel, three bridges, six subgrade sections, and auxiliary works. It refines the curve radius and optimizes alignment conditions, effectively improving the efficiency of CRE train operations.
